Most of us ask ourselves pretty much on a daily basis, what can I do to stop living pay check to pay check.
*My belief is that the best way to get ahead is to learn the right skills.
*I may know the link between your present situation and your goals and dreams.
*This is my story, *(*By the way, it is 100% true!*)
I came to this still *GREAT* country when I was 17 years old.
The odds were against me since I had no family here, no place to stay, no job.
Did not speak English.
The list of obstacles I had to overcome goes on and on.
Like many people that come from another country, my very first job was manual labor, washing dishes.
My second job was cleaning floors.
( I did this for several years, while going to school to learn the language.
) Later on, I worked waiting tables and after that I sold safety systems door to door trying to find my niche in the marketplace.
My lovely wife married me while I was still sweeping floors.
I still remember the time when we were expecting our first child, I came home from work and we did not have anything to eat in the fridge, we had no heating system in the house we were renting, not even a bed to sleep on! We were behind on our car payments too.
*Seeing your pregnant wife sleeping on the floor can really hurt your pride as a man.
*This, in turn motivated me to try different jobs hoping that I could land the one that was going to make a lasting difference in my family's life.
Looking back I believe that this situation was not necessarily because of lack of effort, it was because I did not possess the right skills and also because I did not have the right career opportunity available.
Also, not having the right mentor to guide me and point me in the right direction was not helpful.
It wasn’t until I was introduced to the Manufactured Home Industry, selling Manufactured homes, that I saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
On my second month I made over $11,000 commission, this was back in the mid 90’s!
This industry changed my whole financial life! We went from living paycheck to paycheck to being able to provide for my family proper housing, reliable transportation and above all the hope of living the “American Dream”.
As time went by, I went from Sales Housing Consultant, to Sales Manager, to General manager, to Company Partner and now me and my wife operate our own Manufactured Home Retail Center.
This has been a 25 year journey full of good challenges and great opportunities.
*The Bottom line is, nothing, absolutely nothing worthwhile is going to be given to you for free.
* _*There are no shortcuts when it comes to financial success!*_
_*You have to work and you have to work hard, smart and sometimes work long hours to really excel on anything that you do.
*_With that said.
